01 / About the initiative
One place from which to begin.
A Stable Family in a New Environment is an initiative of the KRK Barvínek family club, which operates alongside the Sugar Cube children's groups. The initiative is supported by the Prague 10 municipal district.
We already consult families, organise lectures and meetings, and teach Czech to children and parents. Our work has grown from daily contact with families and an understanding of the difficulties they face in Czechia.
02 / Our role
Families should not face a question alone.
We help identify what can be done now, where specialist support is needed and whom to approach next.
We do not replace doctors, psychologists, social workers or lawyers. Our role is to provide consultation, clear information and learning, and to connect families with people qualified to address a particular issue.
03 / A support network
Reliable partnerships broaden families' options.
No single organisation can provide every kind of help. The initiative's next step is therefore a network of reliable specialists, institutions and organisations to which families can be referred and with which we can run joint programmes.
